Tyler Rogers Earns Fourth Save Of Season Sunday
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Tyler Rogers picked up his fourth save of the season in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Pirates. Rogers entered to pitch the ninth inning up by three. He hit the leadoff hitter, but then retired the next three hitters without any strikeouts. Closer Jake McGee was available to pitch but had taken the loss in the previous game. Rogers has pitched very well this season, compiling a 0.76 ERA and 0.76 WHIP to go with 10 holds. While it looks like McGee is the team's closer for now, Rogers would be a nice replacement if things continued to trend down for McGee.
