Tyler Rogers Earns Fourth Hold Of Season Sunday
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Tyler Rogers picked up his fourth hold of the season in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Rockies. Rogers came on to pitch in the seventh inning with two outs and runners on first and second. He walked the bases loaded, but was able to get the third out without allowing a run before going on to pitch a clean eighth inning. Rogers was mentioned as a potential closer option to start the season, but Jake McGee has seen most of the save opportunities to this point and Rogers has blown both of his save opportunities. That said, Rogers has a 1.50 ERA with four strikeouts over his six innings of work, so he may see some more opportunities in the future.
