Tyler Rogers Earns 13th Save Of Season Tuesday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Tyler Rogers notched his 13th save of the season in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Padres. Rogers entered the game in the ninth inning up by one. Wil Myers reached first to start the inning on a fielding error, then Rogers struck out Fernando Tatis Jr. and Jake Cronenworth singled. The Giants were then able to turn a 3-6-1 double play to end the game, with Rogers hustling to first base to secure the third out. The side-armer has been fabulous all season and now has a 1.95 ERA, six wins, and 28 holds. He will likely see save opportunities while Jake McGee (oblique) is on the injured list, making him even more valuable in fantasy leagues to end the season.
