Tyler Rogers Earns 13th Hold Of Season Friday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Tyler Rogers picked up his 13th hold of the season in Friday's 2-0 win over the A's. Rogers pitched a scoreless eighth inning, allowing a single and no walks with two strikeouts. Teammate Jake McGee pitched the ninth inning to earn the save. The Giants closer saga continues to flip flop, but it looks like things could be shifting back towards McGee for the moment, who has seen most of the save opportunities over the past several days. That being said, Rogers has pitched very well this season, compiling a 1.43 ERA and 14.1% strikeout rate with nine saves. Both hold fantasy value, but McGee holds the edge given his strikeout rate.
