Tyler Rogers Earns 12th Save Of Season Thursday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Tyler Rogers notched his 12th save of the season in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Mets. Rogers entered the game in the ninth inning up a run and pitched a 1-2-3 inning with no strikeouts to close out the game. The side-armer has pitched very well this season, posting a 1.89 ERA, 24 holds, and 12 out of 17 save conversions. Rogers has clearly taken a backseat to Jake McGee in terms of closer duty, but McGee had pitched in the last several games. That being said, Rogers has been a useful fantasy pitcher in deeper roto leagues, especially saves/holds leagues.
