Tyler Rogers Earns 11th Hold Of Season Monday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Tyler Rogers pitched a scoreless eighth inning in Monday's 5-2 win over the Diamondbacks, earning his 11th hold of the season. Rogers allowed two hits and no walks with no strikeouts. Rogers has seen more of the save opportunities lately, but teammate Jake McGee got this one. Rogers is an unconventional closer's choice given his side-arm delivery and lack of strikeouts, but he has converted eight of 12 save opportunities this season with a 1.60 ERA. Both Rogers and McGee are solid relievers and hold value in fantasy leagues, but a timeshare for saves obviously limits their value.
