Tyler Reddick's Day Ruined at Richmond by His Own Mistake
1 year agoTyler Reddick looked like a legitimate contender to win the Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway on Sunday afternoon, but a late pit road mistake by the driver relegated him to a disappointing 16th-place finish. After starting from the pole, leading 81 laps, winning the first Stage, and finishing in 3rd-place in Stage Two, Reddick looked well on his way to at least a top-5 finish until he made a major mistake coming to pit road. During a late pit stop, Reddick was hit with a commitment line violation while coming to pit road, which caused him to have a passthrough penalty. This seems to be an ongoing problem for Reddick and the No. 45 team, as they have been constantly shooting themselves in the foot this year despite having plenty of speed in the car.
