Tyler Reddick just missed out on the pole in the final qualifying round. It's not a bad consolidation prize for Reddick, who will start in the second position right next to William Byron on the front row. Reddick led all cars in the practice sessions and proceeded to drive his No. 45 Toyota to a new qualifying lap record at COTA with a speed of 94.210 mph in the opening round. Reddick will look to continue his strong road-course performance from last year, a year that saw him win two road-course races.--Eric DeWilde
