Tyler Reddick Comes Up Short In Final Qualifying Group
1 year agoTyler Reddick had a good deal of speed in the early stage of qualifying on Saturday. When it came to the final group, Reddick tried to gun it a little too hard. The result was the 23XI Racing driver got loose and end up brushing against the wall. In the end, Reddick qualified tenth more than 0.8 seconds off from William Byron's pole-setting time (27.15 seconds). The No. 45 car is fast but an early pattern was seen with the Toyota where they do get loose in Turns 3 and 4. Now Reddick's short-track success is lacking which causes concern when it comes to Sunday possibilities. He could come up even shorter on Sunday.
