Tyler O'Neill Not Playing Wednesday
10 months agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Tyler O'Neill is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale against the Oakland Athletics. It looks to be a normal day of rest for O'Neill in a day game following an extra-inning night game on Tuesday. The 28-year-old Canadian is off to a good start in his first year with the Red Sox through six games, going 6-for-18 (.333) with two home runs, two RBI, a stolen base, five walks and a league-high six runs scored in his first 23 plate appearances. With O'Neill out on Wednesday, Wilyer Abreu is starting in right field and batting ninth against A's right-hander Ross Stripling. Abreu has started the year just 1-for-10 with two walks and six strikeouts and should be avoided as a deep DFS sleeper on Wednesday.
