Tyler O'Neill Homers Twice Tuesday, Plates Three
4 months agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Tyler O'Neill continued his strong offensive second half in Tuesday's 6-0 win over the Rockies. O'Neill went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a two-run HR, and a strikeout. The 29-year-old snuck a first-inning Ty Blach changeup over the center-field wall to score two and then demolished a third-inning Blach offering onto the left-field concourse. O'Neill has put together a solid season overall, slashing .267/.356/.535 with 20 HR, 54 runs scored, 38 RBI, and three stolen bases in 312 plate appearances. He has been particularly hot in July, slashing .317/.386/.556 with four HR and 10 RBI in 15 games.
