Tyler O'Neill Goes 0-For-3 In Return To Lineup
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler O'Neill (back) returned to the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He hit third in the game and went on to go 0-for-3. O'Neill was left out of the team's starting lineup for the previous three games before this one due to mid-back tightness. However, he did pinch-hit in both Wednesday and Thursday's game, going a combined 0-for-2 over the two-game stretch. Now that O'Neill is back, fellow outfielder Lars Nootbaar should see a slight decrease in playing time. O'Neill has been one of the Cardinals' best bats this year. Over 103 games, he's slashing .271/.341/.504 with 21 home runs, 10 stolen bases, 48 RBI and 57 runs.
