7 months agoOakland Athletics corner infielder/outfielder Tyler Nevin and catcher Shea Langeliers are both starting on the bench on Tuesday against the visiting Texas Rangers. Nevin will head to the bench after going hitless in his last 14 at-bats. Despite his recent slump, the 26-year-old is still slashing a solid .277/.349/.426 on the year with four home runs, 10 RBI, a steal and 11 runs scored in 94 at-bats for the A's. Langeliers will get the day off in a day game after a night game. He's hitting just .179 (19-for-106) on the year but has shown nice power with seven homers and 16 RBI in the early going. Brett Harris is starting at third base and batting ninth, while Kyle McCann is doing the catching and hitting sixth for the A's on Tuesday against Rangers right-hander Jose Urena.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
