5 months agoThe Seattle Mariners optioned first baseman Tyler Locklear ahead of the team's series opener against the Tampa Bay Rays. With Jorge Polanco (hamstring) returning from the 10-day injured list, Seattle decided to send down its No. 8 prospect. Locklear started just once since June 17, so the first baseman should be getting more consistent reps in Triple-A. The 23-year-old hit just .200 with two home runs, one double, and three RBI across 11 games with the Mariners this season.
