Tyler Lockett Being Released By Seahawks
19 seconds agoThe Seattle Seahawks are releasing longtime wide receiver Tyler Lockett, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 32-year-old was selected by Seattle in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft and racked up 661 receptions for 8,594 yards and 61 touchdowns across 161 career games in 10 seasons. Lockett has played in 15 or more games in every season of his career and has three All-Pro nods as a return specialist. Seattle opts to move on rather than pay his $17 million salary for this season, including a $5.3 million roster bonus that would have been due on March 16. While Lockett is past his prime as a consistent 1,000-yard receiver, there will likely be teams interested in his services, especially teams with young quarterbacks.
