Tyler Johnson Expected To Play Wednesday
9 months agoChicago Blackhawks forward Tyler Johnson (foot) practiced with the team on Monday and is expected to return to action when the club plays host to the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday. The veteran has been out since suffering a foot injury on Dec. 31 against the Dallas Stars in his team's rough 8-1 defeat. "Unless something comes up tomorrow that he's sore, but he said after that he felt good, so he's ready to go," Blackhawks bench boss Luke Richardson said. It has been an unspectacular offensive season on a subpar Blackhawks offense for Johnson, who has recorded nine goals and 13 points across 35 games. The oft-injured forward hasn't had much support with Connor Bedard also missing significant time for the rebuilding Blackhawks.
