Tyler Huntley, Tim Boyle Provide Low Floors In Week 4
Tim Boyle or Tyler Huntley will be his starting quarterback. McDaniel and the Fins are having a rough start to the season, with quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) out for a few more weeks and Skylar Thompson (ribs) unlikely to suit up this Monday. Boyle -- initially the team's third-string option -- presents with the lower floor of the two potential signal-callers and, at this point, looks less likely to get the start. On the other hand, Huntley, who was recently acquired off the Baltimore Ravens practice squad, is a more enticing option for the team as he brings a dual-threat element to his game. Despite the latter garnering a higher fantasy ceiling, neither quarterback will be a recommended option in Week 4. The 26-year-old Huntley could be an exciting addition in superflex and 2QB formats, so an empty roster spot could be used on him in case he performs better than expected. However, fantasy managers will want to exhibit caution when slotting him into their lineups in his first week of action. The two backups are both low-end QB2s.

Tim Boyle Makes Giants Debut Against The Ravens
Tim Boyle made his debut for the team in Sunday's 35-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Signed to the practice squad on November 19, Boyle was activated this week as the primary backup following Drew Lock's heel injury. He entered the game at halftime after starter Tommy DeVito exited with a possible concussion, completing 12 of 24 passes for 123 yards with one touchdown (to Malik Nabers) and one interception. Boyle averaged 5.1 yards per attempt and took one sack, finishing with 7.12 fantasy points in his first action as a Giant.

Tim Boyle To Back Up Tommy DeVito Vs. Baltimore
Tim Boyle will be the backup QB for Tommy DeVito in Week 15. The 30-year-old was signed from the team's practice squad earlier this week and will now serve as second-string for New York's meeting with the visiting Baltimore Ravens. Teammate Drew Lock (heel/elbow), who is battling through injuries, will be the emergency QB. Boyle is now on his second squad of 2024, as he appeared in two games earlier this season for the Miami Dolphins. The veteran could get some playing time over the season's final stretch as the Giants continue to shuffle around quarterbacks due to injuries and poor play. However, none of New York's present quarterback options are particularly enticing for fantasy -- even against a Ravens defense that's allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to QBs in 2024 (22.3).

Giants Sign Tim Boyle To Their Practice Squad
Tim Boyle to their practice squad on Tuesday to add more QB depth after he worked out for the team, according to a source. The move comes a day after the Giants announced that they are benching Daniel Jones in favor of Tommy Devito coming out of their bye week. Drew Lock will serve as the backup to DeVito, with Jones sliding all the way down to third on the depth chart. Boyle was with the Houston Texans during training camp before joining the Miami Dolphins, where he went 15-for-26 for 153 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions in two games when Tua Tagovailoa was on Injured Reserve. The 30-year-old has completed only 61.7% of his passes with four TDs and 12 interceptions in 22 games (five starts) in his five-plus years in the NFL. It would take injuries to DeVito and Lock for Boyle to get any run in New York.

Tim Boyle Struggles In Relief Of Tyler Huntley
Tim Boyle completed 8-of-13 passes for 74 yards in Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. He gained four yards on the ground on his only attempt. Boyle entered the game in the second half after starting QB Tyler Huntley (shoulder) picked up an injury and was deemed out for the remainder of Week 7. It was another disastrous day for the Dolphins' offense, who have yet to find their footing since Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) went down with a brain injury. Of the team's 12 possessions in the contest, just two went for ten or more plays, and it's the fourth time in the last five matchups that they've failed to score more than ten points. With Tagovailoa potentially returning to action in Week 8, Miami's fortune may swiftly change.
