Tyler Glasnow Dominates Marlins On Opening Day
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow allowed just one hit over six scoreless innings with six strikeouts in a 1-0 Opening Day victory over the Marlins. Glasnow allowed a two-out infield-single in the first inning, and then retired the next 16 batters in a row. It was just more of the same for Glasnow, who struck out 27 in 14 2/3 innings during Spring Training and has posted a 33.3 percent strikeout rate since being traded from Pittsburgh to Tampa Bay in 2018. He is one of the best strikeout pitchers in fantasy, and could be a serious contender for the AL Cy Young award this year.
