Tyler Glasnow Allows Five Runs In No-Decision
4 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow didn't have his best stuff in Friday's no-decision against the Toronto Blue Jays. Glasnow pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing five earned runs on nine hits while striking out just a pair of batters with a walk issued. The 27-year-old hurler had a rough go of it from the beginning, as he surrendered runs in each of the first three frames before finally working a 1-2-3 inning in the fourth. Glasnow did induce 11 whiffs, but the strikeout total was disappointing for him after he punched out at least eight batters in each of his previous five starts. He gets a chance to bounce back on May 26 against the Royals. Glasnow- who ranks in the top-30 in wins, strikeouts, ERA, and WHIP- is an obvious must-start despite the rough outing.
