Tyler Duffey Strikes Out Two For Second Straight Outing
3 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Tyler Duffey put together an effective outing once again in Friday's 5-4 win over the Astros. Duffey worked the seventh inning, allowing two hits but striking out a pair for his second straight scoreless appearance. The right-hander has had about as inconsistent a season as possible, seemingly pitching well every other month, though August certainly seems to be treating him well so far. Duffey's strikeout rate has dipped to 20.2 percent after he posted rates above 33 percent each of the last two seasons, perhaps one of the main reasons consistency has evaded him.
