Tyler Duffey Records Third Save
3 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Tyler Duffey notched his third save of the season in Wednesday's 3-0 win over the Indians. With Alex Colome unavailable, Duffey worked the ninth, firing 12 of 17 pitches for strikes while recording a pair of punchouts. The right-hander had his curveball working well, as it accounted for all five of his whiffs. Duffey has been plagued by control issues at times this season, though he has managed to get the walks under control lately, posting a superb 15:4 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 11 innings pitched since the start of August. With four holds and a save in that span, Duffey may be helpful to fantasy managers in need of help at the reliever spot down the stretch.
