Tyler Duffey Records Second Save
3 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Tyler Duffey notched his second save of the season In Friday's 7-5 win over the Texas Rangers. Manager Rocco Baldelli utilized each of Taylor Rogers and Hansel Robles before the ninth, so he turned to Duffey to lock down the victory in the 10th. The 30-year-old righty allowed the auto-runner to score on an RBI single but ultimately worked out of the frame, picking up a strikeout in the process. Despite the effort, Duffey owns an uninspiring 4.15 ERA and 1.38 WHIP, backed up by 4.79 expected ERA and a .341 expected wOBA, suggesting that things may not get much better for him the rest of the way.
