Tyler Conklin - Week 6 Outlook for Fantasy Football
3 years agoAfter securing seven of eight targets for 70 yards and a touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3, Minnesota Vikings tight end Tyler Conklin has followed that up with only nine targets, six receptions and 43 yards combined the last two weeks. With an ADOT of only 3.11 during that span, there's just not much to get excited about with Conklin. Though he is 13th in snap rate and 14th in targets among tight ends, his lack of big-play ability and his role in the offense leaves him as a TD-dependent TE2.
This offense runs through Dalvin Cook and the run game, with the vast majority of targets being funneled to receivers Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson. Combine that with facing a Panthers defense that is ranked 14th against opposing tight ends, and it's best to leave Conklin on your bench in what figures to be a low-scoring game in Carolina.
