Tyler Conklin Catches Goes For 56 Yards In Loss To Detroit
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings tight end Tyler Conklin came into the Week 13 matchup against the Detroit Lions in a bit of a slump. He had three consecutive games with three catches or fewer and less than 40 yards per game. The matchup wasn't great against a Detroit defense ranked 14th against opposing tight ends. But when wide receiver Adam Thielen (ankle) was forced to leave the game with an injury, Conklin stepped up, and his seven receptions for 56 yards were good enough for second on the team in both categories. He also had a season-high nine targets in the game. If Thielen is forced to miss any time, Conklin could be a nice streaming option at the position. Conklin and the Vikings will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14.
