Tyler Clippard Works As Bullpen Opener Again
4 years agoMinnesota Twins reliever Tyler Clippard worked as the opener in a bullpen game for the second time this season. Clippard struck out two but gave up a home run in one inning of work and was then replaced by fellow reliever Cody Stashak, who struck out three. Clippard has been solid this year, with a 2.08 ERA and nine strikeouts in 8.2 innings pitched. His fantasy value is limited because he doesn't record saves, but he could potentially be used in some deeper leagues, especially if he continues to work as the opener.
