Tyler Chatwood Collects First Save
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Tyler Chatwood notched his first save of the season on Sunday by protecting the team's 7-4 lead over the Orioles in the series finale. The right-hander worked around a leadoff walk by inducing the Baltimore hitters into three consecutive groundouts as Jordan Romano got the day off after throwing 28 pitches over two innings on Saturday. Chatwood has now put together six-straight outings without giving up a run after a rough patch that saw him allow 11 earned runs across 3.1 IP. The veteran has been mostly solid as a setup man for the Jays this season, although his 4.32 ERA and 1.32 WHIP don't suggest it.
