Tyler Austin Out of Yankees Lineup Tuesday
7 years agoMLB.com Yankees beat writer Bryan Hoch reports that first baseman Tyler Austin will not be in the lineup Tuesday against the Minnesota Twins. There is no news as to why Austin is out, but Neil Walker will be playing at first in his place and will be batting seventh. Austin had been batting .346 with three doubles and two home runs over his last seven games. There are questions as to whether Tuesday's game is the first of a five-game suspension Austin is currently appealing stemming from a benches-clearing brawl against the Red Sox on April 11. For now, though, there is no word that his absence is due to the suspension.
