Tyler Anderson Strikes Out Four In Loss Thursday
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Tyler Anderson earned his second straight loss on Thursday afternoon, allowing four runs — three earned — on four hits and one walk while striking out four over five innings against the Cubs. It seems like the magic is wearing off on Anderson, who has now had three rough starts in a row after looking like he was a solid streaming option in all formats. He's now allowed 16 earned runs on 20 hits and five walks over his last 15 innings, while also striking out 18 in that span. He'll have what should be an alright matchup his next time out against Kansas City, but for now managers should downgrade Anderson to a matchup-dependent streaming option in deep-mixed and NL-only formats.
