Tyler Allgeier Faces A Tough Matchup In Week 6
2 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier took over as the starting running back last week with Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) placed on injured reserve. Unfortunately, the fifth-round rookie had only 4.5 half-point PPR fantasy points against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, he did lead all running backs on the team in rushing attempts (13), rushing yards (45), and snaps played (39). Despite the poor performance, Allgeier is clearly the lead back for the Falcons after playing more snaps than Avery Williams and Caleb Huntley combined last week (39-33). Sadly, the matchup against the San Francisco 49ers this week is far from ideal, making Allgeier a desperate flex option in Week 6.
