2 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier will take over as the starter this week after the team placed Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) on injured reserve on Monday. Last week the former BYU star running back averaged 8.4 yards per rushing attempt against the Cleveland Browns. While he played well last week, the matchup on Sunday is far from ideal for fantasy players. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have one of the top run defenses in the NFL, holding running backs under 85 rushing yards in 75% of the games this season. While Allgeier should see the volume needed to warrant a start in most fantasy lineups, the matchup makes him a borderline flex option this week.--Mike Fanelli
