3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Tyler Alexander had his best and longest outing of the year on Saturday against the Cleveland Indians. Alexander pitched 5 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing four hits and no walks while striking out four. He earned the win to improve to 2-1 on the year. This was Alexander's seventh start of the year. He hadn't pitched past the fourth inning in each of his previous six starts. He now has a 4.35 ERA and 1.32 WHIP on the year.
