2 years agoNew England Patriots running back Ty Montgomery (shoulder) will miss the rest of the year after undergoing shoulder surgery. The veteran running hasn't played since Week 1 because of injuries. He had only five touches for 13 scrimmage yards and a receiving touchdown in the Week 1 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. The news isn't heartbreaking for fantasy players, as the veteran running back had no value in redraft leagues. Even in dynasty leagues, Montgomery belonged on the waiver wire in most cases. The New England backfield will continue to be led by Rhamondre Stevenson and Damien Harris.--Mike Fanelli
