5 years agoNew York Jets running back Ty Montgomery was excused from practice on Friday due to personal reasons. Montgomery is expected to be active in Week 3 on the road against the Patriots. As expected, T-Mont has taken a back seat to the bell cow in this offense in Le'Veon Bell. The 26-year-old has just five carries and three receptions in the first two games. The Jets will continue to ride Bell this weekend in New England, especially with third-string quarterback Luke Falk thrown into the fire. Montgomery will just hope for scraps. He doesn't have any standalone fantasy value and is strictly a handcuff for Bell owners.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
