2 years agoNew England Patriots running back Ty Montgomery has a great chance at being the third-down back, according to former Patriots RB coach Ivan Fears. If healthy, Montgomery can be a reliable option in the backfield. Sadly, Montgomery has experienced problems staying healthy as he's only played in 21 games over the last three seasons. He has bounced around quite a bit since his three and a half seasons in Green Bay. The Patriots do need someone to help take some of the load off Rhamondre Stevenson. In theory, Montgomery could be an interesting option, but staying on the field has been the biggest problem for him.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
