Ty Madden Beginning To Turn The Corner At Triple-A
4 months agoDetroit Tigers starting pitching prospect Ty Madden posted two straight quality starts at Triple-A and is beginning to put his early-season struggles behind him. Madden was promoted to Triple-A on April 29 after spending all of the last season and early part of this one at Double-A. Through his first 31 innings with Triple-A Toledo, the Texas product posted a hefty 10.16 ERA, 2.23 WHIP, and 25:37 BB:K ratio. However, in his last two outings, he held a 2.25 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and a 4:14 BBK ratio. This is a big step in the right direction for the number five ranked prospect in the Detroit system. If he continues to carry this momentum through July, he could push for a major league debut in August.
