5 years agoDetroit Lions running back Ty Johnson was able to put together two solid runs in Week 1 of preseason despite the Lions offense getting thrashed by the Patriots defense all game. With three attempts, Johnson was able to collect 22 yards, with a long of 17 yards. His long run displayed his outside speed; beating numerous defenders to the sidelines and getting vertical effectively. One of his shorter runs displayed his inside patience and ability to find a gap in the defense and accelerate. Johnson remains as the third RB on the Lions depth chart but could earn some regular season touches if he continues to play well. If Kerryon Johnson goes down with an injury, Ty Johnson becomes an excellent fantasy pick-up.--Corey Johnson
