5 years agoDetroit Lions running back Ty Johnson not only proved himself as a special teams and utility type player at Maryland but also as a solid running back. With the release of running back Theo Riddick, Johnson now has the opportunity to compete with Kerryon Johnson and C.J. Anderson for touches. Kerryon is the clear cut RB1 in Detroit but it would not be unlikely to see Ty and Anderson finish the season with about the same amount of touches. Ty Johnson is an extremely deep option in all fantasy formats but is worth keeping an eye on; his talent could certainly boost him up the Lions depth chart.--Corey Johnson
