During qualifying at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday morning, the track was dirty for most of the earlier qualifying drivers. BJ McLeod was the first one with issues during the session, as he spun out and didn't even complete a lap, while Ty Gibbs also ran into some grip issues during his run, causing the rookie to be the slowest of all drivers in the session that completed a lap. He will now start from 35th for the Ambetter Health 400 on Sunday. Although there was much hype behind Gibbs coming into the year, the 2023 season is not off to a great start for him, as he has posted finishes of 25th, 16th, 22nd, and 28th thus far. Gibbs has never raced a Cup Series car here at Atlanta but he did win the Xfinity race here last season.--Jordan McAbee
