Ty Gibbs a Chalk DFS Pick at Bristol on Saturday Night
2 months agoIt's no secret that Ty Gibbs is good at Bristol Motor Speedway. He finished 35th in his first NASCAR Cup Series race here in 2022 due to steering problems, but the Joe Gibbs Racing driver has been a legitimate threat to win in the two races since then. In 2023, Gibbs started eighth and ended up leading 102 laps before ultimately finishing fifth, and then earlier this season in the spring race, he led 137 of the 500 laps while also winning both Stages. Gibbs went on to finish ninth at the end of that race after being unable to manage tire wear on the final run. This weekend, the No. 54 Toyota will roll off of the starting grid from 13th-place when the Bass Pro Shops Night Race goes green on Saturday evening. Gibbs showed good long-run speed in practice as well, ranking eighth-fastest in 30-lap average for the day. With his Place Differential and race-winning upside, as well as Gibbs being priced at a modest $8,700 on DraftKings, he's sure to be one of the highest-owned drivers on the slate. Now the question is, will he perform as well as most people are expecting?
