Ty France Lands On Injured List
6 months agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Ty France (heel) will head to the injured list on Sunday with a right-heel fracture, and pitcher Collin Snider will be optioned to Triple-A Tacoma. Corresponding moves have yet to be announced by the team. The Mariners were concerned about France when he was scratched from Saturday's lineup against the Kansas City Royals due to a heel injury. The injury stems from the 29-year-old being hit by a pitch on Friday night. He'll be out for at least the next 10 days. Josh Rojas replaced France at the hot corner for Seattle on Saturday, allowing rookie Ryan Bliss to draw into the lineup at second base. France should be rostered in the majority of mixed fantasy leagues, but his lack of power upside at first base leaves a lot to be desire. He heads to the shelf hitting .251/.329/.403 so far this year with seven home runs, 27 RBI and 21 runs scored for the M's in 61 games played.
