Germain Racing's Ty Dillon scored his best-career Cup Series finish with a third-place finish in Sunday's YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Dillon started from the 28th position and patiently worked his way up through the field. Dillon avoided all early incidents and even collected some stage points during the second stage. Coming into this race, Dillon had never finished worse than 17th at Talladega, showing his ability to finish superspeedway races. After this result, five of Dillon's six career top-10 finishes have come at either Daytona or Talladega. The great run was much needed for Dillon, as he explores his options for next year, after the announcement of Germain Racing shutting down.--John Pitucci - RotoBaller
