4 weeks agoSan Jose Sharks center Ty Dellandrea (upper body) will not be available for Monday's contest against Utah. Per Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now, Dellandrea is nursing an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day. Dellandrea has filled a bottom-six role in San Jose, averaging 12:33 of ice time. He's notched one goal in nine appearances while delivering 24 hits and winning 52.9 percent of his faceoffs. Givani Smith is expected to fill in for Dellandrea on Monday. So far this season, Smith has been limited to one appearance, logging 7:59 of action in an 8-3 loss to Winnipeg on Oct. 18. He produced a game-high four hits in the contest with one block.
