Ty Chandler Shows Promise During Preseason Opener
1 year agoMinnesota Vikings running back Ty Chandler is currently competing for the backup role behind Alexander Mattison. The 25-year-old worked as the primary back for the first half of Thursday's preseason opener against the Seattle Seahawks. The former fifth-round pick showed his ability to make plays in both the rushing and receiving game. Chandler rushed 11 times for 41 yards, while making four receptions for 29 yards in the receiving game. His main competition is Kene Nwangwu (undisclosed) who missed the preseason opener. Chandler appears to have the edge right now for the change-of-pace role. He could have some stash value if Mattison were to miss time at some point.
