Ty Buttrey Blows Save In Wednesday's Implosion
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels relief pitcher Ty Buttrey allowed an earned run and two hits with three strikeouts over 2 2/3 innings in a blown save and loss on Wednesday against the New York Yankees, as the Angels blew a five-run lead to lose for the ninth time in 10 games. Buttrey is in the mix for save chances with Luis Garcia and Hansel Robles with Cody Allen being removed from the ninth-inning duties. Despite the blown save, Buttrey still looks like the favorite for saves until Allen is at least able to iron out his problems. Scoop up Buttrey in AL-only leagues if you need some saves, although know it is a fluid situation and several pitchers might get a look depending on matchups.
