Two More Points for Nazem Kadri in Saturday Victory
5 years agoColorado Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri picked up a goal and an assist on Saturday night in a 2-1 win over Columbus. After seeing his role shrink a bit with Toronto last year, Kadri is thriving with Colorado, scoring 12 points in 16 games and 0.35 goals per game. That scoring rate is roughly on pace with his best mark in Toronto (0.4 goals per game) and is thanks in part to seeing time on Colorado's top power-play unit. A third of Kadri's points have come on the power play this season, which falls in line with his production from the last few years, ruling out any notion that he is being propped up solely by being on the top power-play. It is worth noting too that Kadri snapped 10 game streak of recording at least one penalty in this game, though he remains in the top 10 league-wide for most penalty minutes.
