Twins Interested In J.A. Happ
6 years agoThe Minnesota Twins are interested in free-agent starting pitcher J.A. Happ, according to a source. The veteran left-hander accumulated 17 wins in 2018 and had a nice 3.65 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 193 strikeouts in 177 2/3 innings over 31 starts. He was even better in the second half after he was traded from the Blue Jays to the Yankees. Despite his age (36), Happ still has swing-and-miss stuff and could land a decent deal on the open market. Moving to a pitcher-friendly environment like Minnesota and out of the tough American League East would make him even more attractive at the back end of fantasy rotations in mixed leagues.
