Twins Get Three Players In Return For Brian Dozier
6 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman Brian Dozier was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers less than an hour before the trade deadline on Tuesday. In return for the veteran, the Dodgers sent second baseman Logan Forsythe, pitching prospect Devin Smeltzer, and outfielder Luke Raley. Forsythe is expected help at second base this season for the Twins, but he has been very disappointing as a hitter (.207 average, two home runs). 23-year-old Raley is a career .286 hitter in two years in the minors, while Smeltzer has a career 4.53 ERA to go along with a 12-14 record in the minors. Raley is the more attractive player for dynasty purposes; he was the Dodgers No. 19 prospect, and the Twins would welcome more outfield talent in their farm system.
