Tua Tagovailoa Not In Miami's Long-Term Plans?
2 years agoMiami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa still hasn't had his fifth-year option guaranteed by the team. The Fins also haven't inked the signal-caller to a long-term extension. However, there may be a reason, with Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reporting that the "organization will explore all options at quarterback." The 23-year-old is coming off the best season of his career, amassing 3,548 yards, 25 touchdowns, and eight interceptions while completing 64.8% of his throws. Yet, he has battled countless injuries over the years, including suffering multiple concussions during the 2022-23 campaign. Tagovailoa is due to make $9.6 million this season, and the Dolphins have until May 1 to decide on his option. But considering the number of available quarterbacks at the quarterback position, it appears Tagovailoa isn't a lock to remain Miami's starter moving ahead. Nevertheless, there will likely be further updates to this situation, so fantasy managers shouldn't overthink this latest report.
