2 years agoThe Miami Dolphins have named quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) as their starter in Week 7 against the Steelers. The report comes from head coach Mike McDaniel. The 24-year-old entered the concussion protocol in Week 4 during their game against the Bengals but has since been cleared. The team elected to stick with rookie Skylar Thompson (thumb) as the starter on Sunday, with Teddy Bridgewater as his backup. The expectation was that the Alabama product would return this week, which the team has now confirmed. Given the publicity and controversy surrounding the situation, it will be worth monitoring as the week progresses to ensure he does suit up.
