Tua Tagovailoa Injures Ankle Late In Loss To Niners
2 years agoMiami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (ankle) completed just 18 of 33 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon. He also endured three sacks and lost a fumble. Most notably, Tagovailoa, who hadn't thrown an interception since Week 4, was picked off twice during this week's loss to the Niners. He certainly made some big plays, but it was frustrating to see him turn the ball over three times. Furthermore, Tagovailoa exited late in the game with an ankle injury. While concerning, it's worth noting that the score was already out of hand so his exit could have been precautionary. Tagovailoa echoed this idea postgame, saying that he feels "as good as I can be coming off a game." He'll rank as a mid-to-low QB1 heading into Week 14 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
